World of Warcraft players are expressing their frustration with the latest update, Dragonflight Patch 10.2.5. While the patch introduced exciting features like dragonriding and new story content, one aspect has left players disappointed: Azerothian Archives.

Azerothian Archives is a new archeology mechanic that revolves around uncovering long-lost treasures on the Dragon Isles. Players must summon an elemental and use its power to excavate the treasures. However, many players find the mechanic needlessly complicated and prefer the old archeology system.
On top of the complexity, the Azerothian Archives is plagued with bugs. Elemental balance can fluctuate unpredictably, excavation progress resets, and essential objects for excavation fail to spawn. Additionally, the presence of other players in the vicinity makes it nearly impossible to complete an excavation.
While Blizzard is expected to address these issues with a hotfix, players are questioning why the existing archeology system couldn’t have been improved instead. As the saying goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
Despite the frustrations, World of Warcraft players remain hopeful that Blizzard will rectify the situation and provide a more enjoyable experience in future updates.
